 Bespoke Mirrors

Silver Mirrors

Silver mirrors, also known as conventional mirrors, are made using a thin layer of silver or aluminium deposited on the back surface of a sheet of glass. This reflective coating creates a highly reflective surface that accurately reflects light, producing clear and crisp images.

The process of creating silver mirrors involves several steps. Firstly, the glass is thoroughly cleaned and prepared to ensure adhesion of the reflective coating. Next, a thin layer of silver or aluminium is deposited onto the back surface of the glass through a chemical or physical process such as vacuum deposition or chemical deposition.

Once the reflective coating is applied, a protective layer of paint or varnish is often added to the back surface to prevent damage to the reflective layer and to enhance the longevity of the mirror. Finally, the mirror is carefully inspected and trimmed to size before being packaged and distributed for use.

Silver mirrors are widely used in various applications, including bathrooms, dressing rooms, bedrooms, and decorative purposes. They provide a high-quality reflection with minimal distortion, making them ideal for personal grooming, interior decoration, and enhancing the perception of space in a room.

Overall, silver mirrors are a classic and versatile choice for both residential and commercial settings, offering timeless elegance and functionality.
